New York – Cattaraugus Creek

Catt ChromeFly-fishing the Zoar Valley is as close as it gets to viewing and fishing the spectacular steelhead waters of British Columbia and the West Coast without being there. We love this place and have finally found the right operation and accommodations to feel confident to share this fishery with you.

The “Catt” as known by diehard steelheader’s of the Great Lakes is also known as the crown jewel of Steelhead Alley! This trip offers you private steelhead water, streamside lodging in a clean and comfortable cabin, great local guides, and a hell of a good experience.

It was extremely difficult to secure dates and guides with this outfitter as it is very popular within the inner circles of some very good and talented anglers. This trip requires full payment to hold our dates and guides. There are no cancellations or refunds, unless granted by the outfitter. If bad weather forces a cancellation, we will reschedule the group within everyone’s availability.  But trust us when we say that this is a phenomenal trip worth any anglers time!

The Catt is a great place to learn the art of spey casting and swinging flies for steelhead. If you plan on fishing BC or the West Coast in the future, take advantage of the talented guides, fly tying, and the overall experience we have here close to home first! Standard indicator or dead drift fishing is as always highly effective, and the catch rate is average with any place on the Alley.
